The Westfjords (sometimes also called the West Fjords) are located in a northwestern group of peninsulas and are home to several species of animal including the Arctic Fox. The Westfjords are renowned their wild, natural beauty and receive tourists wishing to see the spectacular cliffs and abundant waterfalls. Travel through the Westfjords isn't always easy, though; there are few roads, and the Westfjords is home to some of Iceland's coldest weather.
